Want to help harvest?
The Greater Lansing Food Bank administers a field gleaning program in the Lansing area. Fresh produce, which would otherwise go to waste, is harvested by volunteers to help feed the hungry. The GLFB organizes crews of volunteers to harvest crops at the request of area growers. The food is then distributed by staff to food pantries, human service organizations, residents of subsidized housing and other in need.
We encourage you to speak directly with a staff member if you have questions about helping to glean or receiving gleaned food. Call (517) 853-7808 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
