The GLFB announced the results of our 2009-2010 Envelope Campaign last week at the Lansing City Market. A huge thanks goes out to our community for donating over $1 million to address emergency food relief and sustainable food systems in the greater Lansing area.
"The people of our community have answered the call to action," GLFB Executive Director Terry Link said in remarks Tuesday. The Lansing State Journal has partnered with the GLFB for years to offer local residents the chance to re-invest in their community through the annual Envelope Campaign. Despite the recent economic downturn, this is the second year in a row the campaign has raised over $1 million to help improve food security for the residents of Ingham, Eaton, and Clinton counties.
